Welcome to Creeping Oekaki!

Hi and welcome to the Oekaki board connected to the Creeping Me Out Comic. Everything should work, but it's odd being one of the last remaining English language Oekaki boards. Enjoy your stay and try to follow the rules.

We aren't using themes anymore as nobody's around to post on them. The board is largely up as an archive of times past. Enjoy your stay anyway! If you have any issues feel free to contact me.

Please contact me by Email, Twitter, or Instagram - Mixel

MizunoTsunami, please stop leaving useless and stupid comments on my drawings. They really annoy me. They've annoyed me since I first started drawing here.

"Oh.. So that's what it's called.. / laptop pad? I use that one, I dunno the name so I say mouse / I really like the shading of this one.. and 'It' look 'dead'"

"This image has been blocked XXX Enable adult images in your profile to view ' / Should I? Haha jk"

"I had a problem understanding the picture."

"I look at this couples of times.. / But I never get the picture.. /Someone told me I need to have imagination.. / To see it.."
spanakopita @ Monday, June 16th 2008, 3:44 PM
spfx, certain things are meant to be read and analyzed. there is a point where it becomes illegitamate, but what are camus novels without analyzation, or kafkas
It's all about understanding the actual depth that something has, and I feel like I'm missing why you're even mentioning that in the first place

anyways, this is nice. the coloring really works, and I enjoy the neck area a lot. I wish the face was a little more detailed feature wise, because it seems a little lacking compared to the body. Alternately, I think it would look kind of cool if there was no face. The way the arm is cut off really make the composition. kudos to you

i broke my laptop charger. im going to college in september. im hungover. i have run out of soya. i havent been here in ages. im not really interested in oekaki much at the moment. i should go to the shop. but i cant be bothered.

Oh that's nice that your hungover. *rolls eyes*

But ANYWAYS. Aside from that stupidity. This is...very interesting. It's hard to criticize a piece that is obviously supposed to be abstracted and what-not. Unless of course...you don't see it as abstracted, then there would be lots of crits. XD

I actually just drew some Sailor Moon fan art a few days ago. I haven't drawn fan art for like three years. D: *wonders if she should color them*

Not sure what Jiffy's problem with people being hung-over is..

I really like the colours here. I like seeing stuff in such different styles too. GJ.

im watching a show on telly about a 70s band that lived in a commune. theyre saying a lot of stereotypical hippy type things and calling stuff 'heavy'. admittedly, it looks quite cool to live in a little community in a dingy norfolk cottage. they play pipes and have tambourines. and are clearly off their respective tits most of the time.

This is one of the most arty pieces of art anyone's ever posted on the board! In a sort of weird Hans Bellmer "wtf is going on there?!" kind of way.. Which is a really good thing! Really nice to see something so different.

Hans Bellmer kicks butt btw, this stuff takes some doing! It's pretty unsettling to look at with all the odd details.

bringing my mspaint to you
(though i sort of said i wouldn't, since my shi painter stuff looks just like my mspaint stuff anyway...)

i've adulted it because i think it's quite appropriate for a lesbian bed scene, no matter what colours i've used.

goodo.

these aren't too good, and it looks like i'm spamming the board now. but these make my hands happy. i like the simple 1px pencil and the basic colours. i like sketchy drawings. i think that maybe i'll stay on paint for a while [since im enjoying emulating the MSPaint 'feel' anyway.] this may be an antipathy to the theme.
mixel @ Friday, April 4th 2008, 5:27 PM
avatar
 Lol, classy. Antipathy towards "new life" .. In the form of:

"Dahmer murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991, [...] His murders were particularly gruesome, involving rape, necrophilia and cannibalism."

It's a nicely executed pic, too.

I'm assuming that was PAS's plan, so I thought it best just not to react. Weird subject.

there wasn't any plan or intention behind it, really. i think it's much the same as my QT drawing. he's only a man. i finished reading 'signature killers' by robert keppel and i had dahmer on my mind. (i bought the book because it had things i'd never read about dahmer before.) it's like my QT drawing because, after i'd been watching his films, i drew him. it was only after i drew it and posted it i looked back on the theme and edited my comment to say that i thought it was an antipathy.
mixel @ Friday, April 11th 2008, 7:16 AM

No prob. :) I've had a couple of people in the past trying to be sneakily controversial (though nowhere near as cleverly as this would've been if it had been intentional), and it's pretty hard to know what people are up to/ what their motivations are..

He's as good a subject for art as anyone else, at least he means something to people one way or another.

why adult this for depiction of breasts when almost all of my other pictures have boobs and aren't on adult. besides, i dont really see how breasts are an 18+ thing since you get them in 12 and 15 movies &c. but then again, mod' rules go so theres not point in arguing. i was just wondering.
mixel @ Thursday, April 3rd 2008, 6:24 AM
avatar
If you really want to know - abstraction. Most of your depictions of nudity haven't been this graphic - or they've been stylised to an extent where I've not felt it necessary. The pose and focus of the piece gives the breasts more emphasis than your usual artistic nude thing.

There are no hard fast rules so its just down to mod/admin disgression. Adult doesn't mean "18+" here it means.. "lets not throw this in the face of minors who visit without them asking for it first." Depictions of nudity largely come under "adult". it doesn't mean we have anything against the pic either.

as an admirer or large noses, chins, foreheads and cheekbones, i rather like QT. (...and secondly as a movie lover xDD)
if you watch the animation you can see how much i struggled on the nose and the lips ='[
ive never had that problem before.
it looks sort of like a more glamorous, stylised... slightly effeminate, badly drawn version of him. xD
i tried </3

Not deleting because your stuff is so stylistically bizarro, and much more like "art" by virtue of that than some of the stuff posted that takes a lot longer.

Ooh controversy. SAYING that, I love art as a trade/craft too, and consider some of the more "by the numbers" movements among my favourites. (pre-Raphaelites, art nouveau..)
