Hi and welcome to the Oekaki board connected to the Creeping Me Out Comic. Everything should work, but it's odd being one of the last remaining English language Oekaki boards. Enjoy your stay and try to follow the rules.

We aren't using themes anymore as nobody's around to post on them. The board is largely up as an archive of times past. Enjoy your stay anyway! If you have any issues feel free to contact me.

 Kinda strange messing with a different style. Also testing out new iPad. 12.9” iPad is ideal for Oekaki it turns out.. Shame nobody uses Oekaki anymore. The weird diagonal lines are because palm rejection isn’t really working.

Are you up for paid commissions by the way? Not yet (not even remotely yet lol), but Im working on some CMO stuff that one day, eventually, might see the light of day and I might be asking guest artists for pinups/guest art.

 Well 4 minutes into Kaijune here's a picture of a Khezu from Capcom's Monster Hunter Series.

When I started playing these games I didn't like Khezu at all, they require you to learn to prepare a lot of different items before you leave town. Now a couple years later I see how their design is a subtle tutorial and love them for it.

 I found the scrollbars work fine using my touchpad while I'm on my tablet, not that that's going to help iPad people.

Ellie is freaking 10 already WTH! (Not unexpected I guess but still, time be scary.)

Yeah.. Experimenting with the theme, I’ll settle down eventually. :cry:

As for iPad scrolling - if I use a Bluetooth KB I can hold space to scroll around the canvas.. Except once I start it won’t let me stop panning, or draw.. So that’s not great.

 If you mean the scrollbars in chicken, they can get covered by the floating toolbox windows. I end up just middle clicking to drag around the canvas.

When was the last time we even had a monthly theme? This is great :D

The scrollbars should work on PC/Mac .. They dont really work at all in iOS, which is a shame.

Damn imagine how good Oekaki could be if a bit more modern.. With likes and social buttons for sharing to FB and Instagram etc!

 Thought i'd reacquaint myself with the Oekaki. Mostly done on iPad in chickenpaint. (i still dont understand how that supports pressure sensitivity, lol)

I guess for #mermay - if people start posting here really I might start using popular monthly themes on the board.. That'd be weird. Oekakis coming back.. Whut.

Seriously wtf I just checked and it even supports force-touch pressure on the iPhone, haha. Pressure sensitive strokes everywhere!

 This board is older than the iPhone, it would have been difficult just viewing it on a mobile device when it started. Now you can make these wonderful pictures with pressure sensitivities anywhere.

 I definitely need to make a more modern default css, it’s retro in a not good way at the mo. ????

Long live the inexplicably functional oekaki! I’m going to experiment with a bt keyboard plugged into the iPad, see if I can pan around canvas using that. If so I might need to write a guide as iPad oekaki is pretty badass if it works.

 Hey! Wow it’s really weird to see old oekaki users coming back at the same time.. Great to see you! How’s life? There don’t seem to be many oekakis left. :|

I’m doing okay. Got annoying hay fever headaches though. I don’t use my wacoms to much anymore either, but do a lot more drawing on the iPad now.

 I think it was coincidence because I was looking for a certain image that was drawn here, but yeah, I wouldn't mind drawing again from time to time, might even be possible now that my youngest has developed a bedtime.

Nice that there is now a HTML5 tool, though I always loved the drawing animation feature a lot, hope that comes back too one day.

Everything's good man. I have this place bookmarked. Whenever I build a system or something I always fire this up with the tablet use it as a benchmark or something I dunno. Been a while lately tho. Thought I ought to post. too much lurk.
