It doesn't look like him...but I like the outcome nonetheless. XD This was a speed paint in oc 1.1 I decided to do, just to get my creative juices flowing again...I've been dry these past couple days.

I guess you can consider this practice. Also, since we can't upload in the advance board...I'm putting it here. x]

Haha originally he did have a more defined jaw...but I accidentally blurred it a bit out...and I didn't feel like fixing it. D:

And...it may have taken like...30 minutes to an hour...I don't time my stuff. XD

I really like the feel this has. I love the angle of the face and the hair flying away.

As for crits, his right shoulder is off- it doesn't connect with the neck properly (the neck looks too narrow) and the shoulder looks to be too wide.

yeah...the neck is too thin. If you just made it thicker, to reach the chin nearly, it'd look correct.

And is that his index finger or his thumb? If it's his index finger, the comment about is correct...if it's his thumb...where is the index finger? XD

It does look nice without the messiness. x] Very cute. I like the simple shading of this. Though for some reason she looks like her bottom jaw is jutted out...I dunno...it may just be my eyes playing tricks on me. XD!

If there is something wrong with it it probably is the jaw. I 'inked' the wrong line somewhere around there. But it will not be fixed.

I don't think you can? In the other applets the layer info is embedded in the animation, sooo - no animation=no layers.

Animation will be in chibipaint eventually, its right at the top of their to-do list.

This is gorgeous, i really like what you've done (and the fact it's not something lots of people do!) .. Kat (my wife) likes it too.

I like the darker tones used as lineart thing too, works really nicely with a totally pencil-brushed pic.

Her eye looks like its crept too far around the side of her head, butt hat might be an illusion. Other than that i knew a gir who looks weirdly like this, especially if she had foozlier hair it'd be creepy.

The background is effective too.

You have to make the picture public for people to retouch it.

Edit your comment and theres a 'password' feild that notes if you enter 'public' as the password, the picture will become public.

Right click on one of the layers above the lineart in the layer list window and a box will pop up. Switch it to "multiply"..

I do most of my colouring on multiply layers.

With a white background like this it will behave exactly like painting /under/ the black linework..

Multiply x a layer's RGB value by whatever it's "above" so it can only make things /darker/ - but.. everything is darker than white, and nothing is darker than black, so it's perfect for stuff like this.

They're really useful, esp for cell stuff:
Make one layer above your multiply layer into another multiply layer, apply one color to the bottom one and the same colour in overlapping parts on the upper one..

Instant lazy shadows.
